Microsoft Surface Duo has an overall score of 78.8, which is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ's score of 73.5. Although Microsoft Surface Duo is incredibly heavier than Sony Xperia XZ, it's much thinner and also incredibly newer. Microsoft Surface Duo has a bit sharper screen than Xperia XZ, because although it has a just a little less pixels per display inch, it also counts with a much bigger display and a lot better resolution of 1800 x 2700 pixels.
The Microsoft Surface Duo features a bit superior CPU than Xperia XZ, because it has more CPU cores and 3 GB more RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a greater storage capacity for apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Microsoft Surface Duo features better battery life than Xperia XZ, because it has a 23% larger battery size. Xperia XZ has a better camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same aperture, the Xperia XZ also counts with a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia XZ. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Duo, else you can save some money and get the Xperia XZ, giving up a couple features and specifications.
