Moto G9 Plus has a global score of 80.5, which is slightly better than the Xperia XZ's 73.5 score. Even though the Moto G9 Plus is much newer than Xperia XZ, it's heavier and thicker. The Motorola Moto G9 Plus features a little faster processor than Xperia XZ, because it has more RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and faster).

The Sony Xperia XZ has a bit sharper display than Motorola Moto G9 Plus, because although it has a little worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better number of pixels per inch of screen. The Moto G9 Plus shoots much better pictures and videos than Xperia XZ, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Moto G9 Plus also has a lot better 64 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, a bigger diafragm aperture for better captures in low-light environments and a lot larger camera sensor providing a way better image quality.

The Moto G9 Plus has much more storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Moto G9 Plus features a very superior battery life than Xperia XZ, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 2900mAh.
