The nubia Red Magic 5S has a score of 76.2, which is a bit better than the Xperia XZ's 73.5 overall score. Nubia Red Magic 5S's construction is much newer, but thicker and extremely heavier than the Xperia XZ. Nubia Red Magic 5S counts with just a little better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has more processing cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
Nubia Red Magic 5S has just a bit better screen than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has a just a little worse screen pixel density, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a larger screen. Nubia Red Magic 5S shoots much better pictures and videos than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a camera with way more megapixels, a way better 7680x4320 video resolution, a way bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low light images.
The nubia Red Magic 5S features a bigger storage for games and applications than Xperia XZ, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The nubia Red Magic 5S features a much better battery life than Xperia XZ, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although nubia Red Magic 5S is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Sony Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia XZ. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Sony Xperia XZ, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
