Comparison review
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ, having a global score of 80.4 against 73.5. Even though the Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a little bit heavier than Xperia XZ, it's just a little thinner and also newer. Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has just a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and more cores.
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a slightly better looking display than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a little bigger screen and a just a little greater display pixel density. Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a much better storage to install games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ, and although they both have an external SD slot that admits up to 256 GB, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition also has more internal storage capacity.
Sony Xperia XZ shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for capturing images or videos in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ also counts with a larger sensor and a back facing camera with a much better 23 MP resolution.
Galaxy Note Fan Edition has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity instead of 2900mAh.
Although Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Sony Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia XZ. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note Fan Edition, else you can save some dollars and buy the Sony Xperia XZ, giving up a couple features and specifications.
