Samsung Galaxy Note5 has a global score of 80.2, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ's 73.5 general score. Samsung Galaxy Note5's design is a little bit thinner than Xperia XZ, although it's just a little heavier and was released only 14 months before. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 features a bit more vivid screen than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a little bit bigger display and a just a little more pixels per inch in the display.
The Galaxy Note5 counts with a little faster processing unit than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has 1 GB more RAM memory and more cpu cores (although they are slower). Xperia XZ counts with a greater storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note5, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Note5 features just a little better battery performance than Xperia XZ, because it has a 3% more battery size. Sony Xperia XZ has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing pictures in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ also counts with a way more mega pixels back-facing camera and a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.
