Comparison review
Galaxy S5 is much better than Xperia XZ, with an 80.8 score against 73.5. The Galaxy S5 body has the same thickness than the Xperia XZ, but it's lighter. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a sharper display than Xperia XZ, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a greater pixels number in each screen inch.
The Sony Xperia XZ counts with a slightly better storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ, and although they both have 4 cores and a 3 GB RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has an extra graphics co-processor.
The Xperia XZ counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a better photo and video quality, a larger aperture to take better images and video in poorly lited environments and a back camera with way more megapixels.
Sony Xperia XZ features a bit superior battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has a 2900mAh battery capacity.
The Galaxy S5 costs a lot more than the Xperia XZ, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
