Comparison review

Galaxy S6 Edge is better than the Sony Xperia XZ, having a overall score of 85.7 against 73.5. Galaxy S6 Edge is an older phone than Sony Xperia XZ, but Samsung made it somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter anyway. Galaxy S6 Edge has a superior hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ, and although they both have 3 GB of RAM, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a GPU, a 64-bits processor and more processing cores (although they are slower).

Galaxy S6 Edge features a way better looking screen than Xperia XZ, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 and more pixels per screen inch. Xperia XZ shoots way better photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photography and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ also counts with a larger camera sensor and a camera in the back with way more mega-pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Xperia XZ features just a bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 2900mAh battery capacity against 2600mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia XZ. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Xperia XZ, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
