The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XZ, getting a general score of 78.1 against 73.5. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge design is a bit thinner and just a bit lighter than Sony Xperia XZ, even though both of them were released with only 7 months difference. Galaxy S7 edge counts with a little bit better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S7 edge also has 1 GB more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a little sharper screen than Xperia XZ, because it has a better pixel density, a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a little larger screen. Xperia XZ takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia XZ also counts with a much more mega-pixels camera in the back and a larger back camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge features longer battery duration than Xperia XZ, because it has a 24% greater battery size.
The Galaxy S7 edge costs more money than the Sony Xperia XZ, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
