Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 Active is much better than Sony Xperia XZ, getting an 81.9 score against 73.5. The Galaxy S8 Active construction is newer, but notably heavier and thicker than Sony Xperia XZ. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a bit better CPU than Xperia XZ, because it has more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a slightly better screen than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a little bit bigger display, a way higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and a greater pixel density. Galaxy S8 Active features a way bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 256 GB, the Galaxy S8 Active also has 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xperia XZ features a little bit better camera than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing pictures and videos in low light environments, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xperia XZ also counts with a larger sensor which offers a better photo and video quality and a lot better 23 mega-pixels resolution camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a way better battery duration than Xperia XZ, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 2900mAh.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, Galaxy S8 Active is also cheap compared to the Xperia XZ.
