Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is better than Xperia XZ's score of 73.5. The Xperia 1 is a a bit heavier device than Xperia XZ, but both have the same thickness. The Xperia 1 counts with a sharper display than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a bigger display, a lot better display pixel density and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px.

The Xperia 1 counts with a little better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a larger amount of RAM and more processing cores. Sony Xperia 1 features a superior memory to store more apps and games than Xperia XZ, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 512 GB and more internal memory.

The Xperia XZ has a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for taking photographs or videos in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ also counts with a bigger sensor which provides a higher image and video quality, faster video frame rate and a way higher 23 mega-pixels resolution back camera.

The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a little better battery life than Xperia XZ, because it has a 15 percent greater battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia XZ. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xperia XZ, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
