Xiaomi Mi 6 has a global score of 76.5, which is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ's 73.5 overall score. Although the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Xperia XZ were only released 7 months apart, the Xiaomi Mi 6 design is a bit thinner but also a little bit heavier than the Xperia XZ. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has a slightly better looking screen than Xperia XZ. They have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920, the same quantity of pixels per inch of screen and a display of the same size.
Xiaomi Mi 6 features a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has more CPU cores and more RAM. The Xperia XZ captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 6, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xperia XZ also counts with a way larger sensor capturing lot better quality videos and photos and a much more mega pixels camera.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 features a quite bigger memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi 6 counts with a little longer battery duration than Xperia XZ, because it has a 3350mAh battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi 6 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia XZ. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 6, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Xperia XZ, resigning some features and specifications.
