Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Max is slightly better than the Xperia XZ, having a 77.5 score against 73.5. The Xiaomi Mi Max design is a lot heavier but a little thinner than Xperia XZ, and both of them were released only 5 months apart. Sony Xperia XZ features a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ also counts with a quite better display density.
Xiaomi Mi Max features a CPU that is very similar to the Sony Xperia XZ one, although the Xiaomi Mi Max also has a larger number of cores and 1 GB more RAM memory. The Xperia XZ counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have a same size camera aperture, the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia XZ also has a much more megapixels camera in the back.
The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ, and although they both have an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has 128 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Mi Max has a way better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ, because it has a 67% greater battery size.
