Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a bit better than Xperia XZ, with a 77.5 score against 73.5. Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and Xperia XZ were released with only 8 months difference, Xiaomi Mi Max 2's design is noticeably heavier but a little bit thinner. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a bit superior processor than Xperia XZ, because it has more cpu cores (although slower) and more RAM.
Sony Xperia XZ counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920px, the Sony Xperia XZ also counts with a bit greater screen pixels density. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a very superior storage to store more apps and games than Xperia XZ, because although it has an external SD slot that admits 128 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ counts with a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ also has a larger aperture, a much larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a way more MP camera in the back.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a superior battery performance than Xperia XZ, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 costs a bit more than Sony Xperia XZ, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
