Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone is slightly better than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, getting a score of 77.1 against 74.6. Although the Asus ROG Phone is incredibly heavier than the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, it's a little thinner and also newer. The Asus ROG Phone has a much better looking screen than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2160px, a lot larger screen and more pixels per screen inch.
Asus ROG Phone has a little faster processor than Xperia XZ1 Compact, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Asus ROG Phone also has more RAM. Asus ROG Phone counts with a much greater storage for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
The Asus ROG Phone counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a 48% larger battery capacity. Xperia XZ1 Compact counts with a greater camera than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for capturing images or video in low light environments and slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia XZ1 Compact also counts with a larger sensor capturing higher quality pictures.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia XZ1 Compact, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia XZ1 Compact. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Asus ROG Phone, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia XZ1 Compact, resigning some features and specifications.
