Comparison review
OnePlus 9 is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ1 Compact, having a 76 score against 74.6. OnePlus 9's construction is noticeably newer and a little thinner, but also much heavier than the Xperia XZ1 Compact. OnePlus 9 features a little sharper screen than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a much bigger display, a much better 1080 x 2400 resolution and more pixels per inch in the screen.
The OnePlus 9 has just a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 9 also has 4 GB more RAM. OnePlus 9 features a quite bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
OnePlus 9 features a way better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a 67% greater battery size. OnePlus 9 has a much better camera than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a much higher video resolution, a much higher resolution back facing camera, a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and videos in poorly lited environments and a much larger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality.
Although OnePlus 9 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Xperia XZ1 Compact, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia XZ1 Compact. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the OnePlus 9, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia XZ1 Compact, giving up a couple features and specs.
