The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is better than the Xperia XZ1 Compact's 74.6 general score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is notably older than the Xperia XZ1 Compact, it's body is noticeably thinner and just a little lighter. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a way better looking display than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a quite bigger screen, a much better pixels quantity per inch of screen and a much better resolution of 2560 x 1440px.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has more memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a bit better processing unit than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a 64 bits CPU and an extra graphics processor.
Xperia XZ1 Compact has just a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 2700mAh battery size against 2600mAh. The Xperia XZ1 Compact captures greater videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ1 Compact also counts with a bigger sensor taking higher quality pictures and a back facing camera with more mega pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
