Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Compact is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone, having a overall score of 79 against 77.1. Even though the Xperia XZ2 Compact and Asus ROG Phone were released with only a couple of months difference, the Xperia XZ2 Compact construction is thicker but also somewhat lighter. The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit sharper display than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a little bit greater display density and more display brightness.
The Asus ROG Phone features a lot bigger storage for applications and games than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. Asus ROG Phone counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Asus ROG Phone also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Asus ROG Phone counts with a much longer battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact shoots greater pictures and videos than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a bigger sensor which provides a better image and video quality.
