The Google Pixel 3 has an overall score of 80, which is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Compact's 79 score. Google Pixel 3 is a incredibly thinner and somewhat lighter cellphone than Xperia XZ2 Compact, even though they were released with only a couple months difference. Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit better performance than Google Pixel 3. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and 4 GB of RAM memory.

The Xperia XZ2 Compact captures a bit better photos and videos than Google Pixel 3, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better 19 megapixels resolution, faster 60 fps video frame rate and a bigger camera sensor shooting higher quality photos and videos.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 3, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
Google Pixel 3 features a battery life that's just as good as Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact's battery duration, although the Google Pixel 3 also has a 2915mAh battery capacity instead of 2870mAh.
