Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a score of 82.9, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact's 79 score. Even though Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact were released with only a few months difference, Huawei Mate 20 Pro's design is noticeably thinner but also somewhat heavier. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, although it has a lot worse resolution of 1080 x 2160, a little bit inferior number of pixels per display inch and a really smaller screen. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a greater memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports up to 400 GB.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro takes slightly better videos and photos than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a larger aperture to capture better low-light photos, a way bigger sensor and a much better 40 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much better battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
