The LG V30S ThinQ is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Compact, with a overall score of 82.5 against 79. The LG V30S ThinQ is a a bit lighter and incredibly thinner cellphone than Xperia XZ2 Compact, even when both of them were released with only 1 months difference. Both phones in this review use the same Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding OS features.

Xperia XZ2 Compact features a little bit better looking screen than LG V30S ThinQ, although it has a quite worse amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a bit smaller screen and a way worse 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. The LG V30S ThinQ counts with a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB more internal storage capacity.

Xperia XZ2 Compact features a bit better processing power than LG V30S ThinQ, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact takes clearer videos and photos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with better 60 frames per second video frame rates, a back-facing camera with more mega-pixels and a way bigger sensor which gives a much higher photo and video quality.

The LG V30S ThinQ has a bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 15% bigger battery capacity.
