Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Compact has a score of 79, which is a bit better than the OnePlus 8 Pro's global score of 77.2. Xperia XZ2 Compact's design is somewhat lighter than OnePlus 8 Pro, but it is incredibly thicker and was released 2 years before. OnePlus 8 Pro has just a little better hardware performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
The OnePlus 8 Pro features a bit better screen than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has much more brightness, a lot larger screen, a little bit higher display density and a better 1440 x 3168 resolution. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a better camera than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 60 fps video frame rate, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a way higher 48 MP resolution camera, a larger camera aperture to capture better low light captures and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way higher quality pictures and videos.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a greater memory capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 400 GB. OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a way better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 4510mAh battery size against 2870mAh.
