The Galaxy Note5 is slightly better than the Xperia XZ2 Compact, having an 80.2 score against 79. The Galaxy Note5 is an a lot older and a little heavier phone than the Xperia XZ2 Compact, but Samsung could make it a lot thinner anyway. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Note5, although it has a quite smaller screen, a just a little worse pixel count per inch of display and a way worse resolution of 1080 x 2160.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note5. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 cores. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB.

Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy Note5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for shooting photos and video in low light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a bigger back camera sensor, better 60 fps video frame rates and a higher resolution back facing camera.

The Galaxy Note5 counts with a bit better battery life than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 5% larger battery size.
