Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a general score of 79, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy S5 Sport's 77.8 global score. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact design is a lot newer, but a bit heavier and thicker than Galaxy S5 Sport. Both devices in our current comparison use Android operating system, but Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy S5 Sport has Android 4.4.2, so it offers some nice extra features.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport features a screen that's very similar to the Xperia XZ2 Compact one, because although the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a little bit worse screen density and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a bit bigger display. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster) and a greater amount of RAM.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact features a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 400 GB and 64 GB internal memory. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has a 2 percent bigger battery size.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a bigger sensor shooting better quality photographs and videos, a bigger camera aperture for better low light captures, a back facing camera with a better resolution and better 60 frames per second video frame rates.
