Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has an overall score of 81.7, which is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Compact's global score of 79. Samsung Galaxy S8's body is just a little bit lighter and incredibly thinner than Xperia XZ2 Compact, although it was released only 12 months before. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S8. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processor.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit better screen than Galaxy S8, although it has a quite smaller screen, a lot worse 1080 x 2160 resolution and a little bit lower pixel density. The Xperia XZ2 Compact takes clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting images and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing higher quality photographs and videos, faster 60 fps video frame rates and a much more mega pixels camera in the back.
Xperia XZ2 Compact features a slightly bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 400 GB. The Galaxy S8 has a bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 3000mAh battery size.
