Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, having an 82.2 score against 79.5. Despite being the best we compare here, the Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is notably older, notably thicker and just a little heavier than the Asus ROG Phone 8. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little sharper display than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has much lower brightness and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a much higher screen density.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a greater storage capacity for apps and games than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a very superior CPU than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a way better battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 55 percent bigger battery capacity. The Asus ROG Phone 8 captures a lot better photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for low light captures and videos, it also counts with a way larger camera sensor providing a way better image quality, a lot better 7680x4320 video resolution and a back camera with much more megapixels.
