Asus ZenFone 8 is slightly better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, with an 83 score against 82.2. The Asus ZenFone 8 body is newer, incredibly thinner and lighter than Xperia XZ2 Premium. Asus ZenFone 8's CPU is very similar to the CPU in Xperia XZ2 Premium, both of them have 6 GB of RAM and 8 CPU cores.

Asus ZenFone 8 counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 13% greater battery size.
