Comparison review
Google Pixel 2 XL has a score of 82.5, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's score of 82.2. The Google Pixel 2 XL body is much thinner and a lot lighter than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, although it was released only 9 months before. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a brighter screen than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and a greater count of pixels per screen inch.
Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit better CPU than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB.
The Google Pixel 2 XL's battery duration is just as good as the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium one, although the Google Pixel 2 XL has a 1% smaller battery size. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little bit better camera than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a same size diafragm aperture and the same video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back facing camera with way more mega pixels and a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Google Pixel 2 XL is not only the best phones in our current comparison, but it's also by far the cheapest.
