Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than Google Pixel 3a XL, with an 82.2 score against 78.9. The Xperia XZ2 Premium is an older, heavier and incredibly thicker phone than Google Pixel 3a XL. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit superior processing unit than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a way better looking screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with way more pixels per inch in the display and a way higher 2160 x 3840 resolution. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots slightly better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and a F1.8 camera aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger back-facing camera sensor and a back-facing camera with a way better 19 mega-pixels resolution.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 400 GB. Google Pixel 3a XL counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 3700mAh battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 3a XL. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Google Pixel 3a XL, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
