Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 10's 78.9 overall score. Although the Xperia XZ2 Premium is newer than Huawei Mate 10, it's much heavier and notably thicker. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a bit better processing power than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has more RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a brighter screen than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840px, a way greater screen pixels density and a little bit more brightness. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a little bit better memory to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for taking photos and videos in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a way bigger back-facing camera sensor and a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.

So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei Mate 10, giving up a couple features and specs.
