Comparison review
Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's 82.2 score. The Huawei Mate X body is newer and a bit thinner, but way heavier than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a much greater display pixels density and a better 2160 x 3840 resolution.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a little better performance than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots much better videos and photos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a lot tinier camera sensor taking less light and dull colors and a much lower 19 MP resolution camera, they both have the same aperture.
The Huawei Mate X features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory. Huawei Mate X features superior battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 3540mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xperia XZ2 Premium. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate X, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia XZ2 Premium, giving up a couple features and specifications.
