Comparison review
The Huawei P40 has a score of 86.4, which is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium's 82.2 overall score. Huawei P40's body is newer, a lot thinner and a lot lighter than the Xperia XZ2 Premium. Huawei P40 and Xperia XZ2 Premium feature very similar processors, both have the same RAM amount and 8 processing cores.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features an incredibly better screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much greater screen density and a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840px. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a greater storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P40, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
Huawei P40 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light images and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a lot larger camera sensor shooting much higher quality photos and videos, higher 60 fps video frame rate and a much better 50 MP resolution camera in the back.
The Huawei P40 features a little better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 7% more battery capacity.
