Comparison review

The Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than the LG G7 ThinQ, with an 82.2 score against 81. Although it's the best we are comparing, we must note that it is also a notably heavier and extremely thicker phone. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a little better hardware performance than LG G7 ThinQ, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has more RAM.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little sharper screen than LG G7 ThinQ, because although it has a bit opaque display and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution and a better quantity of pixels per screen inch. The LG G7 ThinQ features much more storage to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the LG G7 ThinQ also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots just a bit better photos and videos than LG G7 ThinQ, because although it has worse video frame rates and a smaller aperture which is not recommended for shooting photographs or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a much larger back camera sensor which gives a much higher photo and video quality and a better resolution back camera.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with improved battery life than LG G7 ThinQ, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity.

Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG G7 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G7 ThinQ. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the LG G7 ThinQ, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
