The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is slightly better than Moto G 5G's 81.5 overall score. Despite being the best in this review, the Xperia XZ2 Premium is a older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker device than the Moto G 5G. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit better CPU than Moto G 5G, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much sharper display than Moto G 5G, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater number of pixels per screen inch and a lot higher 2160 x 3840px resolution. Moto G 5G features just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Moto G 5G also has a way higher resolution back-facing camera and a larger aperture to capture better photos and video in poorly lited environments.
The Motorola Moto G 5G has more memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Motorola Moto G 5G also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Motorola Moto G 5G features a way better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 41% larger battery capacity.
