Xperia XZ2 Premium is a little bit better than the Motorola Moto G7 Plus, getting a general score of 82.2 against 76.1. Even being the best in this review, Xperia XZ2 Premium is a noticeably thicker and a lot heavier phone than Motorola Moto G7 Plus. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much more vibrant screen than Moto G7 Plus, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better screen pixel density and a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840.

Motorola Moto G7 Plus features slightly more memory for applications and games than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Motorola Moto G7 Plus also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto G7 Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 2 GB more RAM.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has improved battery duration than Moto G7 Plus, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh. Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a bit better camera than Motorola Moto G7 Plus, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light images and video, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a bigger sensor providing a better image quality and a back facing camera with more mega pixels.
