Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, having an 82.2 score against 77.4. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer phone than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, although it's a lot thicker and much heavier. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much better display than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a bit larger display, a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a much better number of pixels per inch of screen.
The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play also has an external memory slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a higher amount of RAM.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features greater battery life than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 3540mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium captures much clearer pictures and videos than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low-light images and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a back camera with a much higher 19 MP resolution.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z2 Play. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save some money and buy the Moto Z2 Play, resigning some features and specs.
