Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium has a general score of 82.2, which is slightly better than the OnePlus 8 Pro's 77.2 general score. Xperia XZ2 Premium is an older, somewhat heavier and a lot thicker cellphone than the OnePlus 8 Pro. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit sharper display than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has much worse brightness and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a higher pixel count per screen inch.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a greater storage capacity for apps and games than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Premium and OnePlus 8 Pro have incredibly similar CPUs, and although the OnePlus 8 Pro has 2 GB more RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
OnePlus 8 Pro features improved battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 27 percent greater battery size. OnePlus 8 Pro has a better camera than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a same size diafragm aperture, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a much larger sensor capturing much better quality photographs and videos, a much better resolution back facing camera and better 60 fps video frame rates.
Xperia XZ2 Premium costs more money than the OnePlus 8 Pro, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a better phone for that extra money.
