Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than Xperia XZ2 Premium, with an 87 score against 82.2. Galaxy A42's design is way newer, somewhat lighter and a lot thinner than Xperia XZ2 Premium. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit better CPU than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 2160 x 3840px resolution and way more pixels per display inch.
