Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Premium is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, getting an 82.2 score against 76.3. Despite being the best in this review, Xperia XZ2 Premium is a way heavier and way thicker phone than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM.
Xperia XZ2 Premium has a lot better looking display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a larger screen, a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a way higher display density. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger aperture and a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with much more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 400 GB and more internal memory. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much longer battery life than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity against 1860mAh.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Alpha. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Alpha, giving up some specifications.
