Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's score of 82.2. The Galaxy Note8 construction is lighter and thinner than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, despite of the fact that it was released just 11 months before. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8. They have 6 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processing unit.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features a more vivid display than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2160 x 3840px and a better screen density. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing images or video in low light environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a much better 19 megapixels resolution camera and a larger back-facing camera sensor taking better quality videos and pictures.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has slightly more storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 3540mAh battery capacity.
In addition to being the best phone of the ones in this comparison, Samsung Galaxy Note8 is also a lot cheaper, making it a great choice.
