The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a general score of 82.2, which is a bit better than Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 score. The Xperia XZ2 Premium is a way newer cellphone than Galaxy S7 Active, although it's thicker and a lot heavier. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because it has a higher number of cores (and they are faster) and a higher amount of RAM.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a sharper display than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has a way brighter display, a greater display density, a little bit bigger display and a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 400 GB and more internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy S7 Active features a bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a superior camera than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a lot higher 19 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S7 Active. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up some features and specs.
