Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, getting a score of 82.2 against 81. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is older, just a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a lot better looking screen than Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per inch in the screen and a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro features a slightly better memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy XCover Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little bit better camera than Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low light photography and videos and a back facing camera with a lot worse 19 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 video quality and a lot bigger back camera sensor.
Galaxy XCover Pro features just a little better battery life than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 14 percent greater battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
