Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has an overall score of 82.2, which is slightly better than Xperia Z3's 77.3 overall score. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a a lot newer device than the Xperia Z3, but it is way thicker and way heavier. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit more vivid display than Xperia Z3, because it has a much brighter display, a bit bigger display, a lot better number of pixels per screen inch and a lot higher 2160 x 3840 resolution.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit faster processing unit than Xperia Z3, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a higher number of cores and 3 GB more RAM memory. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Z3, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 400 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium captures a little bit better videos and photos than Xperia Z3, because although it has a back facing camera with a worse 19 mega-pixels resolution and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, and they both have a 0.43 inches camera sensor, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a larger aperture.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has a 3540mAh battery size.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Sony Xperia Z3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z3, letting go a couple features and specifications.
