Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Z4v's 78.8 overall score. Even though Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is notably newer than Xperia Z4v, it is extremely thicker and a lot heavier. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit more vivid screen than Xperia Z4v, because it has a bit bigger screen, a greater screen density and a much better 2160 x 3840px resolution.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Z4v, because it has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB and more internal memory. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit faster CPU than Xperia Z4v, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z4v, because it has an 18% larger battery capacity. The Xperia Z4v has a camera that's very similar to the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium one, because although the Xperia Z4v has a tinier aperture which is not so good for capturing pictures and/or video in low light environments, and they both have a same size sensor, the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, it also counts with a back-facing camera with a better resolution.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z4v, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Z4v. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Xperia Z4v, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
