Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a little bit better than Sony Xperia Z5, with a general score of 82.2 against 77.6. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer device than Sony Xperia Z5, but it's noticeably thicker and a lot heavier. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit more powerful CPU than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much better screen than Xperia Z5, because it has a lot better pixel density, a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and a quite larger display. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a superior memory capacity for applications and games than Xperia Z5, because it has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB and more internal storage capacity.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with longer battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity. Sony Xperia Z5 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a same size camera aperture, a same size back camera sensor and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a camera in the back with a higher resolution.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z5. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save some money and get the Xperia Z5, letting go some features and specifications.
