Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi 12's 78.8 global score. Despite being the best cellphone in our current comparison, the Xperia XZ2 Premium body is a lot older, incredibly heavier and noticeably thicker than Xiaomi 12. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much powerful processor than Xiaomi 12, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a sharper screen than Xiaomi 12, because although it has a bit smaller display and less brightness, it also counts with a much higher display pixels density and a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi 12, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 400 GB.
The Xiaomi 12 has improved battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh. Xiaomi 12 counts with a way better camera than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for shooting photos and/or video in low-light environments, it also counts with a back camera with a way higher 50 mega pixels resolution, a way better video resolution and a much larger back camera sensor capturing lot better quality videos and photos.
