Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a general score of 82.2, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's general score of 76.6. Despite being the best phone in our current comparison, Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's body is older, heavier and a lot thicker than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a lot better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better display pixel density and a way better 2160 x 3840 resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit better camera than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the same video frame rates and a F1.8 aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a back camera with lot more MP and a larger camera sensor which offers a better photo and video quality.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a greater storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has an external memory slot that admits up to 400 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a very superior battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, giving up a couple features and specs.
