The HTC One M9 is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZs, getting a overall score of 77.7 against 77.2. Despite of the fact the HTC One M9 is noticeably older and thicker than the Sony Xperia XZs, it's body is still a little lighter. HTC One M9 features a better CPU than Sony Xperia XZs, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU, a 64-bit processor and more processing cores.

HTC One M9 has a brighter display than Sony Xperia XZs, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the HTC One M9 also counts with a quite higher pixel quantity per inch in the display. The Xperia XZs captures a lot better photos and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a less MP back camera, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low-light captures and video and a bigger sensor shooting higher quality videos and photographs.

The Xperia XZs counts with a slightly better storage capacity to install games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Xperia XZs also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Even being the best phone in this comparison, the HTC One M9 is also very cheap compared to the other phones, which makes it a no doubt choice.
