The Sony Xperia XZs has a score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 global score. Even being the best in this comparison review, the Sony Xperia XZs is a a lot heavier and thicker cellphone than Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a bit better screen than Xperia XZs, although it has a bit smaller display, a way worse 1280 x 720 resolution and a lot worse pixel quantity per display inch.
Galaxy Alpha has a bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZs, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Alpha also counts with a graphics co-processor. The Sony Xperia XZs features a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZs also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Xperia XZs counts with a really longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 2900mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh. The Xperia XZs has a greater camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZs also has a larger aperture, a lot higher 19 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and better video frame rates.
Although Xperia XZs is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Alpha. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia XZs, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Alpha, giving up some specs and features.
