The Galaxy Note 3 is better than the Xperia Z1, with a global score of 81.1 against 71.5. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note 3 has a more recent 5.0 version and Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.2, offering a couple additional features. The Galaxy Note 3 design has the same thickness than the Xperia Z1, but it's a bit lighter.

The Sony Xperia Z1 has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Sony Xperia Z1 also counts with a little bit better display density. The Galaxy Note 3 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia Z1, and although they both have an external memory card slot that holds up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Note 3 also has 64 GB internal memory capacity.
