Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has an overall score of 81.6, which is better than the Sony Xperia Z1's 71.5 general score. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 construction has the same thickness than Sony Xperia Z1, but it's a little heavier. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has the newer 5.0 version and Sony Xperia Z1 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it provides some extra features and improved performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a slightly better looking display than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has a just a bit higher quantity of pixels in each screen inch, a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a quite larger display. The Galaxy Note 4 has a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia Z1, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 128 GB and 32 GB internal storage capacity.
Galaxy Note 4 has a bit more powerful CPU than Sony Xperia Z1, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Galaxy Note 4 also has a much better GPU and a larger amount of RAM. The Galaxy Note 4 shoots much better photographs and videos than Xperia Z1, because although it has a back camera with much less MP resolution, a tinier camera sensor capturing less light and duller colors and a smaller aperture, it also counts with a much higher (4K) video definition.
The Galaxy Note 4 counts with just a bit longer battery life than Xperia Z1, because it has a 3220mAh battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 costs a little more than the Sony Xperia Z1, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
